Interpretation of Philippians Chapter 3 Verse 8

In Philippians 3:8, Paul expresses his willingness to sacrifice anything and everything for the invaluable knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Lord. He says he considers all of his past accomplishments and achievements as nothing compared to the incredible worth of knowing Christ. Paul is willing to give up his past successes and worldly possessions—which he calls “refuse”—in order to gain a much greater reward in the form of an intimate relationship with Christ.
