Interpretation of Philippians Chapter 3 Verse 7

Philippians 3:7 is a reminder from Paul to the church in Philippi that he has willingly given up all of his worldly possessions, his reputation, and his accomplishments for the sake of following Christ. He has chosen to make Jesus the priority of his life, and to count all of his worldly possessions and accomplishments as nothing but a loss for the sake of following Jesus. Paul’s message is a reminder to all Christians that we should not be focused on the temporal things of this world, but instead be focused on the eternal promises of Jesus.
