Philippians 1:9
The Bible in Philippians Chapter 1 Verse 9 says:
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment;
Interpretation of Philippians Chapter 1 Verse 9
In Philippians 1:9, the Apostle Paul is praying that the love of the believers in Philippi may abound even more in knowledge and discernment. He is asking that the love of the church may increase and be expressed in a manner that is wise and perceptive. Paul is praying that the people of Philippi may grow in their understanding of God and the world around them, and that their love for one another would be based on insights that come from the Holy Spirit. By growing in knowledge and discernment, the Philippians will be able to better serve God and one another.
