Interpretation of Philippians Chapter 1 Verse 12

In Philippians 1:12, Paul is writing to the church in Philippi to tell them that the things that have happened to him have actually been a positive thing for the gospel. He is telling them that even in his struggles and difficulties, the gospel has still been furthered and has been made more known. He is encouraging them to not be discouraged by his situation, but to be encouraged by it, and to use it as a reminder of God’s faithfulness. Paul is reminding them that God is in control and that He will use any situation for His glory, no matter how bad it may seem.
