Philemon 1:5
The Bible in Philemon Chapter 1 Verse 5 says:
hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
Interpretation of Philemon Chapter 1 Verse 5
Philemon 1:5 is a letter written by the apostle Paul to Philemon, a Christian leader. In this verse, Paul is expressing his joy at hearing of Philemon’s love and faith in the Lord Jesus and towards all the saints. He encourages Philemon to continue to demonstrate his commitment to Jesus and fellow believers by generously welcoming and forgiving his runaway slave, Onesimus, who is now a Christian. Paul pleads with Philemon to receive Onesimus as a beloved brother, instead of a slave. Paul’s letter is a beautiful example of Christian love and forgiveness.
