Philemon 1:17
The Bible in Philemon Chapter 1 Verse 17 says:
If then thou countest me a partner, receive him as myself.
Interpretation of Philemon Chapter 1 Verse 17
In Philemon 1:17, Paul is asking Philemon to receive Onesimus, a runaway slave, as if he were receiving Paul himself. Paul is urging Philemon to forgive Onesimus and treat him as a brother in Christ, rather than a slave. Paul’s request is a reminder of the radical, unconditional grace of Jesus Christ: Onesimus is to be taken in, not based on his past sins or mistakes, but because of the love of God.
