Luke 4:8
The Bible in Luke Chapter 4 Verse 8 says:
And Jesus answered and said unto him, It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 4 Verse 8
In Luke 4:8, Jesus is responding to a challenge from the Devil in the wilderness, who had tempted Jesus to bow down and worship him. Jesus answers the Devil with a passage from Deuteronomy 6:13, telling him that the only one to be worshipped and served is the Lord God. Jesus is teaching us that God is the only one who is to be worshipped and served, and no other. He is reminding us that our loyalty and obedience should always be to God alone.
