Luke 4:34
The Bible in Luke Chapter 4 Verse 34 says:
Ah! what have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 4 Verse 34
In this verse from the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is confronted by a group of people in the synagogue of Nazareth. They are shocked and angered that Jesus, this man from their community, is claiming to be the Messiah. They confront him, asking what right he has to make such a claim, and accusing him of coming to destroy them. Jesus responds by affirming his identity as the Holy One of God. He claims the authority of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill his mission. The people are left in awe and fear of Jesus’ power.
