Luke 4:29

The Bible in Luke Chapter 4 Verse 29 says:

and they rose up, and cast him forth out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.

Interpretation of Luke Chapter 4 Verse 29

In Luke 4:29, Jesus had just finished preaching in the synagogue of his hometown of Nazareth. The people there were amazed by his words, but when he told them that the prophesies of the Old Testament were coming true, they were not happy. They became so angry that they drove Jesus out of the city and took him to the edge of the hill on which their city was built. They planned to throw him down headlong, but Jesus escaped by walking through the crowd. This event foreshadowed Jesus’ ultimate death.
