Luke 4:27
The Bible in Luke Chapter 4 Verse 27 says:
And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 4 Verse 27
In this passage from the book of Luke in the Bible, Jesus is citing an example from the time of the prophet Elisha. At that time there were many people suffering from leprosy in Israel, but none of them were cured of this dreaded disease. Only the Syrian, Naaman, was healed by Elisha, through the power of God. This serves to illustrate the point that God’s healing power is available to all, regardless of their background or nationality.
