Luke 4:24
The Bible in Luke Chapter 4 Verse 24 says:
And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.
Interpretation of Luke Chapter 4 Verse 24
This verse is from the New Testament book of Luke. In it, Jesus is speaking to a crowd in Nazareth, his hometown. He declares that no prophet is accepted in his own hometown, referring to himself as well. This is a reference to the fact that the people of Nazareth rejected him and did not believe in his ministry. Jesus is teaching that he, and other prophets, should not expect to be accepted by their own people, but should instead rely upon God’s guidance and acceptance.
