John 5:44
The Bible in John Chapter 5 Verse 44 says:
How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that [cometh] from the only God ye seek not?
Interpretation of John Chapter 5 Verse 44
John 5:44 is a statement from Jesus in John’s Gospel in which he criticizes the people for seeking glory from one another rather than from God. Jesus is reminding them that they should seek glory only from God and not from each other, as God is the only source of true and lasting glory. He is teaching that to truly believe in Him and receive salvation, they must turn away from their own desires for glory and instead seek only the glory of God.
