John 12:9
The Bible in John Chapter 12 Verse 9 says:
The common people therefore of the Jews learned that he was there: and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Interpretation of John Chapter 12 Verse 9
The news of Jesus’ presence in Bethany spread quickly among the Jews. They came to see Jesus, but also to witness the miracle He had performed in resurrecting Lazarus from the dead. Despite the danger of being associated with Jesus and His miraculous works, the people were drawn to Him and the power of His works. They wanted to see for themselves the proof of His incredible power.
