Interpretation of John Chapter 12 Verse 4

In John 12:4, Jesus is in the house of Mary and Martha in Bethany, two days before his crucifixion. Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve Disciples, makes a comment indicating that Jesus should not have wasted the expensive perfume used to anoint his feet. Jesus responds by saying that it was done to prepare him for his burial, and that those who are saved will always remember her. Judas is the one who will ultimately betray Jesus, and his comment is seen as the first indication of his treachery.
