Interpretation of John Chapter 12 Verse 31

John 12:31 is part of a larger passage in the Bible from John 12:27-36. In this passage, Jesus is speaking to his disciples, as well as a large crowd of people. Jesus explains that he will be crucified and lifted up in order to draw all people to himself. He also states that his death will be the judgment of this world and the prince of this world (Satan) will be cast out. Jesus goes on to explain that he will be glorified and that those who believe in him will also be glorified. Jesus finishes his speech by saying that he will be the light of the world, and that those who follow him will never walk in darkness.
