James 4:2
The Bible in James Chapter 4 Verse 2 says:
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and covet, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; ye have not, because ye ask not.
Interpretation of James Chapter 4 Verse 2
James 4:2 is a warning to believers against the dangers of selfishness and pride. The verse begins by calling out those who are driven by their own desires and passions, but who don’t seek to fulfill them through proper means. Instead, they resort to killing and coveting, trying to take what does not belong to them and engaging in conflict. But in the end, they don’t receive the satisfaction they seek because they never asked for it in the first place. The message is clear: if we want something, we must ask for it humbly and patiently.
