James 2:8
The Bible in James Chapter 2 Verse 8 says:
Howbeit if ye fulfil the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
Interpretation of James Chapter 2 Verse 8
James 2:8 provides instruction on fulfilling the royal law of loving your neighbor as yourself. The royal law is a commandment from God that was written in the Old Testament of the Bible, Leviticus 19:18, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” According to James 2:8, if one fulfills this royal law, they will be doing well. Therefore, James 2:8 is encouraging us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and affirming that if we do, we are walking in faith and in accordance with God’s will.
