James Chapter 2 Verse 2

James 2:2

The Bible in James Chapter 2 Verse 2 says:

For if there come into your synagogue a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, and there come in also a poor man in vile clothing;

Interpretation of James Chapter 2 Verse 2

James 2:2 is calling for the believers in the synagogue to practice fair treatment of all people regardless of their wealth or position. The example given is that if a wealthy man enters the synagogue wearing expensive clothes, he should not be given preferential treatment over a poor man who may be wearing simple or tattered clothes. The poor man should be treated with the same respect as the wealthy man, showing that all people should be viewed as equal in the eyes of God.
