Hebrews 9:5
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 5 says:
and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat; of which things we cannot now speak severally.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 5
Hebrews 9:5 is about the mercy-seat, which was a part of the tabernacle of God, according to Exodus 25:17-22. The mercy-seat was a golden lid for the Ark of the Covenant, and it was covered with two cherubim (angels) of glory. The writer of Hebrews is saying that these cherubim are there to overshadow the mercy-seat, and that the full significance of this is too deep to be discussed here in detail. This is a reminder that God’s mercy and grace are greater than any words can explain.
