Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 4

Hebrews 9:4 speaks of the items contained in the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant was a gold-covered wooden chest that contained the manna (divine food) from the wilderness, Aaron’s rod that miraculously budded, and the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. It was also accompanied by a golden altar of incense, which was used in the Tabernacle worship. This Ark of the Covenant was considered to be the most sacred object in the Israelite religion and was a symbol of the presence of God with His people.
