Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 25

Hebrews 9:25

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 25 says:

nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place year by year with blood not his own;

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 25

Hebrews 9:25 speaks of how Jesus, the ultimate high priest, offered himself as a sacrifice once and for all, unlike the high priests of old who had to offer sacrifices annually. The high priests of old had to bring blood not their own into the holy place each year. Jesus, however, offered himself as the perfect sacrifice, and thus his own blood was sufficient, and the need for further offerings was eliminated. Through the offering of his own life, Jesus opened the way for all people to receive forgiveness of sins and access to the presence of God.
