Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 7 Verse 7

This verse from Hebrews 7:7 is referring to Melchizedek, the priest-king of Salem who blessed Abraham and to whom Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils from his victory in battle. The writer of Hebrews is saying that Melchizedek, the greater one, blessed Abraham, the lesser one. This is an example of how God blesses the humble and the obedient. This verse is also a reminder of the importance of submitting to God and trusting Him to bring us blessings.
