Hebrews 6:20
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 20 says:
whither as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 20
Hebrews 6:20 speaks of Jesus as a forerunner, who has entered into a heavenly sanctuary for us, and has been appointed as an eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. This passage shows Jesus’ perfection and His superiority over the Levitical priesthood. It references Psalm 110:4, where God declares that Jesus will be a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek, a mysterious figure in the Old Testament. Jesus’ sacrifice was once and for all, and His eternal priesthood ensures that He can intercede on our behalf and provide us with a way to be reconciled to God.
