Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 5 Verse 11
In Hebrews 5:11, the author is addressing a group of believers who have become “dull of hearing”. He acknowledges that there are many things he would like to say to them, but that the topics are difficult to explain. He encourages them to pay attention and to strive to understand the spiritual truths he is teaching. The author wants them to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Ultimately, he wants them to come to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the gospel so that they can be fully equipped to serve God and bring glory to His name.
