Hebrews 5:10
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 5 Verse 10 says:
named of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 5 Verse 10
Hebrews 5:10 tells the story of Jesus being appointed by God as the high priest after the order of Melchizedek. This is significant because Melchizedek was not a descendant of Aaron, the traditional priestly line. Instead, Melchizedek was a mysterious figure mentioned in Genesis 14 who blessed Abraham and was said to be “priest of God Most High.” This appointment of Jesus as high priest is a fulfillment of the prophecy given in the Old Testament. It shows that Jesus is the ultimate high priest and the one through whom all true believers in God can approach Him.
