Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 5 Verse 10

Hebrews 5:10 tells the story of Jesus being appointed by God as the high priest after the order of Melchizedek. This is significant because Melchizedek was not a descendant of Aaron, the traditional priestly line. Instead, Melchizedek was a mysterious figure mentioned in Genesis 14 who blessed Abraham and was said to be “priest of God Most High.” This appointment of Jesus as high priest is a fulfillment of the prophecy given in the Old Testament.
