Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 3 Verse 5
In Hebrews 3:5, the author is making a comparison between Moses and Jesus, two great figures of faith. The author is saying that Moses was faithful in all his house as a servant, which is a testimony of things that were to come later. This is likely referring to the law that Moses brought down from Mount Sinai, which was a precursor to the teachings of Jesus. The author is emphasizing that Moses was faithful and obedient to God, just as Jesus was. This shows that although Jesus had a unique role in God’s plan of salvation, Moses was still an important figure in God’s story of redemption.
