Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 3 Verse 18

In Hebrews 3:18, the writer is referring to the passage in Psalm 95 which speaks of God’s rest for his people. This passage in Hebrews is reminding the readers that the Israelites in the wilderness could not enter into God’s rest because of their disobedience. The writer is warning the readers not to make the same mistake as the Israelites in the wilderness and to be obedient to God, as obedience is the key to entering into God’s rest.
