Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 26

Hebrews 12:26

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 26 says:

whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more will I make to tremble not the earth only, but also the heaven.

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 26

Hebrews 12:26 is referring to the voice of God that shook the earth at the time of the giving of the Law on Mount Sinai. God spoke with such force and power that the earth shook with His voice. Now, God has made a new promise to shake not only the earth, but also the heavens. This promise is for a new and better covenant, one that will be established through Jesus Christ and will bring about a greater, permanent peace between God and His people. This new covenant will usher in a time of salvation and blessing, and will be established on a sure and unshakable foundation.
