Hebrews 12:16
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 16 says:
lest [there be] any fornication, or profane person, as Esau, who for one mess of meat sold his own birthright.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 16
Hebrews 12:16 warns us to be careful of being like Esau, who was so focused on momentary pleasures that he sold away his birthright and inheritance for one mess of meat. This is a reminder to us to stay away from any kind of fornication or any other kind of profane behavior. We should guard our spiritual birthright and inheritance more carefully than Esau did, and not allow anything—even something as tempting as a mess of meat—to lead us away from our faith.
