Hebrews 11:37
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 37 says:
they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they were tempted, they were slain with the sword: they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 37
In Hebrews 11:37, the author is praising the faith of those who have gone before us. He lists a series of hardships that these men and women endured because of their faith: they were stoned, sawn asunder, tempted, slain with the sword, destitute, afflicted, and ill-treated. Despite all of these ordeals, they persevered because of their unwavering faith in God. Through their example, the author encourages us to remain firm in our faith, even when faced with adversity.
