Hebrews 11:19

The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 19 says:

accounting that God [is] able to raise up, even from the dead; from whence he did also in a figure receive him back.

Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 19

Hebrews 11:19 is emphasizing the power of God. It is saying that God is able to resurrect, even from the dead. The verse is referring to the story of Abraham and Isaac. Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. Although Abraham was ready to obey and fulfill God’s command, God intervened and provided a ram as a sacrifice instead. In a figurative sense, this story shows God’s power to raise up even from death, as Abraham was figuratively “raised up” when his son was spared. Ultimately, this verse is a reminder of God’s power to overcome death and provide deliverance.
