Hebrews 10:3
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 10 Verse 3 says:
But in those [sacrifices] there is a remembrance made of sins year by year.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 10 Verse 3
Hebrews 10:3 speaks of the Old Testament sacrificial system, which served as a reminder of the sins of the people every year. The writer of Hebrews is emphasizing that the sacrifices of animals and other offerings made year after year could not take away sin, but only served to remind the people of their guilt. The writer then goes on to explain how the new covenant of Jesus Christ is superior, as it is a once-and-for-all sacrifice that takes away all sin.
