Hebrews 1:9
The Bible in Hebrews Chapter 1 Verse 9 says:
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Interpretation of Hebrews Chapter 1 Verse 9
In Hebrews 1:9, we see God’s love for His people and His desire for them to live righteously. God has anointed His beloved one, Jesus Christ, with the oil of gladness, a sign of joy and celebration. This anointing is given to Jesus to show that He is above all others and has been chosen by God to fulfill His purposes. As He is loved and chosen by God, He has been given the privilege of ruling with justice and righteousness over all creation. This anointing of gladness is a reminder of God’s love and approval for His people, and a call for them to follow His ways.
