Galatians Chapter 6 Verse 13

Galatians 6:13

The Bible in Galatians Chapter 6 Verse 13 says:

For not even they who receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 6 Verse 13

This verse from Galatians 6 is speaking about the importance of faith over works. Paul is emphasizing that those who observe the law, such as circumcision, do not necessarily have a better standing in God’s sight than those who do not observe it. In fact, Paul even says that those who seek to have others observe the law “glory in your flesh”, indicating that they are more interested in their own pride and glory than in true faith. Paul is making clear that the only way to have a right standing with God is through faith, not works.
