Galatians 4:25
The Bible in Galatians Chapter 4 Verse 25 says:
Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children.
Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 4 Verse 25
In Galatians 4:25, the Apostle Paul is making a comparison between the Old and the New Testament. He is comparing Mount Sinai in Arabia (the place where the Law of Moses was given) to Jerusalem, which is the city where Jesus is reigning. Paul is saying that Mount Sinai is like the Jerusalem that is in bondage with her children, because the Old Testament Law is no longer in effect. The New Testament Law of freedom in Christ has now taken its place.
