Galatians 2:14
The Bible in Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 14 says:
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before [them] all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 14
In Galatians 2:14, Paul is confronting Peter at a gathering of believers in Antioch. Paul is questioning Peter’s behavior, as he is living as a Gentile, but expecting the Gentiles to live as Jews. Paul is calling him out for his hypocrisy and inconsistency. He is showing Peter that it is impossible to live in contradiction to the gospel and that living in a way that is consistent with the gospel is what is expected of a true believer. Paul is reminding Peter and the other believers that the way of living should be consistent with the gospel and not follow the example of the world.
