Galatians 2:13
The Bible in Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 13 says:
And the rest of the Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that even Barnabas was carried away with their dissimulation.
Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 2 Verse 13
In Galatians 2:13, the Apostle Paul is recounting an incident where he had confronted the Jewish Christians in Antioch who were trying to impose the Law of Moses on Gentile believers. Paul rebuked them for their hypocrisy in claiming to be Christians yet still trying to impose the Law of Moses on Gentile believers. The other Jewish Christians, including Barnabas, joined in with the hypocrisy, and Paul was so distressed by it that he left Antioch. The verse serves as a warning to believers not to allow themselves to be deceived by false teachers and to remain steadfast in their faith.
