Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),

Interpretation of Galatians Chapter 1 Verse 1

Galatians 1:1 introduces us to Paul, who is an apostle of Jesus Christ and God the Father. He was not appointed by man, but was commissioned directly by Jesus Christ and God the Father. He was raised from the dead by God for this purpose. Paul’s mission is to preach the Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ to the Gentiles. He is writing to the churches in Galatia, encouraging them to remain true to the faith and not be swayed by false teachers. He reminds them of the freedom they have in Christ, and how their salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and not works. He also warns them of the dangers of following other teachings, which could lead to their spiritual destruction.
