that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Interpretation of Ephesians Chapter 5 Verse 27

Ephesians 5:27 speaks of how Christ desires to present the church to Himself as a glorious and holy bride, without spot or wrinkle or any blemish. This is a reminder to us of the importance of living a life of holiness, and to be sure that we are not tarnishing the church’s reputation or causing it to be seen in a negative light. We should strive to remain pure and blameless in our walk with Christ, and present a beautiful and unified example of His bride.
