The Bible in Ephesians Chapter 4 Verse 22 says:
that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;
Interpretation of Ephesians Chapter 4 Verse 22
Ephesians 4:22 is a call to believers to leave behind their old ways of living that were based on the sinful desires of deceit. Paul urges them to put away their former self, the person they were before they accepted Christ, and instead live in accordance with the will of God. He calls on them to be renewed in the spirit of their minds and put on the new man, which is created according to God’s good and perfect will. This is so that they may be able to discern what is good and right and how to live a life of holiness and obedience to God.
