Colossians 4:8
The Bible in Colossians Chapter 4 Verse 8 says:
whom I have sent you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts;
Interpretation of Colossians Chapter 4 Verse 8
Colossians 4:8 is part of a passage in which Paul is sending a messenger, Tychicus, to the Colossians in order to give them an update on his life and his journey. Paul is sending Tychicus so that the Colossians may know his current state and be comforted by his presence. Paul is also sending Tychicus to the Colossians so that he may tell them of Paul’s works and his hope for their faith. Paul is further sending Tychicus to explain how he has been living in the light of Christ and to encourage the Colossians to do the same. Paul is sending Tychicus to the Colossians as a representative of Paul, to let them know that he is with them in spirit and to bring comfort to their hearts.
