Interpretation of Colossians Chapter 3 Verse 7
Colossians 3:7 is a reminder from the Apostle Paul to the Colossian church that they once lived in a life of sin and wickedness, but now they should put off the old life and put on the new life in Christ. They can do this by putting to death the sinful deeds of their old life, such as sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed (Colossians 3:5-6). Instead, they should put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12). This way, they can show love to one another, just as Christ loved and gave Himself for them (Colossians 3:14).
