Colossians 2:17
The Bible in Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 17 says:
which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s.
Interpretation of Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 17
Colossians 2:17 is referring to the Old Testament laws that were given to the people of Israel, which were like a shadow of the things to come. They were only a representation of what was to come, and they could not give salvation or a relationship with God. The only way to have that is through Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection. He is the body, the substance, and the source of eternal life. His death and resurrection have fulfilled the laws of the Old Testament and now we can have a relationship with God through faith in Him.
