Interpretation of Colossians Chapter 1 Verse 24
Paul is writing to the Colossians, expressing his joy in suffering on their behalf. He states that his sufferings make up for what is lacking in the sufferings of Jesus Christ, who gave his body to the church. Paul’s suffering is an example of how he is willing to put his own personal desires aside in order to serve the church. He is willing to suffer for the sake of the church and for the sake of Christ. He does this out of his love for the church and for his faith in Christ.
