Interpretation of 2 Timothy Chapter 4 Verse 9

In 2 Timothy 4:9, Paul is writing to his disciple Timothy and urging him to come to him soon. Paul knows he is about to die, so he is telling Timothy to come to him quickly so that they can see each other one last time. He wants Timothy to be diligent in his efforts to come to see him. Paul is also encouraging Timothy to prepare for his own ministry and to preach the gospel boldly and without fear.
