2 Timothy 3:8

The Bible in 2 Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 8 says:

And even as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth. Men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

Interpretation of 2 Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 8

2 Timothy 3:8 is part of a warning Paul is giving to Timothy about false teachers who will oppose the truth of the gospel. He uses the example of Jannes and Jambres, two magicians who opposed Moses in Pharaoh’s court. Paul is saying that just as these two men withstood Moses, so also will these false teachers stand against the faith. He says that these men are “corrupted in mind” and “reprobate concerning the faith,” meaning that they are spiritually blind and cannot accept the truth of the gospel.
