2 Kings 11:12

The Bible in 2 Kings Chapter 11 Verse 12 says:

Then he brought out the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and [gave him] the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, [Long] live the king.

Interpretation of 2 Kings Chapter 11 Verse 12

In 2 Kings 11:12, Joash was made king of Israel by the people of the land. He was anointed with oil and given the testimony, which was a document proclaiming him king. The people then clapped their hands and shouted “Long live the king!” in celebration. Joash was seven years old at the time of his coronation. He began to rule under the guidance of Jehoiada the priest.
