Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 8 Verse 14

In 2 Corinthians 8:14, Paul is encouraging the Corinthians to give generously to the Jerusalem church, so that there may be equality between them and the Jerusalem church. By giving to the Jerusalem church, the Corinthians will be providing for the needs of the church, and the church will in turn be providing for the Corinthians’ needs. This will lead to a mutual state of equality, with both parties receiving support from the other. Paul is stressing the importance of mutual provision and generosity in order to maintain a balance of resources and a level of equality between the two churches.
