2 Corinthians Chapter 5 Verse 4

2 Corinthians 5:4

The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 Verse 4 says:

For indeed we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.

Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 Verse 4

In 2 Corinthians 5:4, Paul is saying that those of us who live in this earthly body are burdened by its frailties, but we do not want to die and be unclothed, but rather be clothed with a new, immortal body that will swallow up death and grant us eternal life. Paul is reassuring us that death is not the end, but rather a beginning of something greater. He is also urging us to always keep our eyes fixed on the hope of our future resurrection.
