2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 9

2 Corinthians 3:9

The Bible in 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 9 says:

For if the ministration of condemnation hath glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

Interpretation of 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 9

2 Corinthians 3:9 is addressing the glory of the New Covenant as compared to the Old Covenant. The Old Covenant, or ministration of condemnation, was glorious, but the New Covenant, or ministration of righteousness, is even more glorious. The Old Covenant, or Law, brought condemnation upon those who could not keep it, but the New Covenant, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, brings the righteousness of God to everyone who believes. This righteousness is not achieved by human effort, but is a gift of God, through faith. The glory of the New Covenant far exceeds that of the Old.
